What it measures

Is there microbial contamination? Sterility testing looks for bacteria and fungi in the sample. PCR detects microbial DNA directly, without waiting for a culture to grow; other certificates cite USP <1223>, the chapter on alternative microbiological methods. A clean result reads "No Growth" or "Pass".
