What is Adamax?
Adamax is a research peptide that Disguised Alpha lists under the code DW 1032 in two formats: Adamax (DW 1032), a 10 mg lyophilized vial, and Adamax Aerosol Spray (DW 1032), a pre-formulated spray at 1 mg per mL. The product pages call it a neuropeptide research compound for laboratory work on neuroprotective pathways, cognitive signaling and stress-response biology, and describe its molecular weight as higher than that of many short neuropeptides. They give no sequence, formula, molecular weight or CAS number, and they do not say what DW 1032 stands for.
No peer-reviewed study of Adamax appears in PubMed under that name or code. This guide sets out what is and is not on record, then summarizes the literature on Semax, the peptide that supplier descriptions of Adamax build on, labeled as Semax data throughout. Disguised Alpha supplies Adamax for laboratory research use only. Nothing on this page is guidance for use in people.

Formats, amounts, category and storage are from the two Adamax product pages. PubChem has no compound record for Adamax or DW 1032. One vendor-deposited PubChem substance record (SID 513899171) lists Adamax as a synonym of Ac-Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro-Ala-Gly-OH, an acetylated nine-residue peptide containing the full Semax sequence, without a standardized structure. Supplier listings elsewhere describe an acetylated Semax with an adamantane group at the C-terminus instead. These descriptions disagree, none is peer-reviewed and our product pages state neither, so this guide assigns Adamax no structure. Identity for a given lot rests on its certificate.
What the research covers
A PubMed search for Adamax returns only papers on AdaMax, an unrelated machine-learning method, and searches for DW 1032 and for adamantane-modified Semax return nothing relevant. No cell, animal or human study of Adamax is on record. The summaries below cover Semax and two published Semax variants, each with its model and the compound tested. None of them tested Adamax.
Semax, the parent sequence
Semax is the heptapeptide Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, which joins positions 4 to 7 of adrenocorticotropic hormone to a Pro-Gly-Pro tail that adds resistance to peptidases. It is described as having no hormonal activity and is on Russia's list of vital and essential drugs (Radchenko et al., 2025). Our Semax research guide covers that literature in depth.
Neurotrophin signaling and ischemia (Semax, rat)
Tritium-labeled Semax bound specific, calcium-dependent sites in rat basal forebrain membranes with a dissociation constant of about 2.4 nM, and Semax raised basal forebrain BDNF protein at 3 hours (Dolotov et al., 2006a). In rat hippocampus, one application raised BDNF protein up to 1.4-fold and trkB phosphorylation 1.6-fold (Dolotov et al., 2006b). After permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion in rats, immune-system genes made up more than half of the genes Semax changed at 24 hours (Medvedeva et al., 2014). Compound tested in all three: Semax, not Adamax.
Breakdown and modified Semax peptides
Incubated with nerve cells, Semax was broken down mainly to His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro and Pro-Gly-Pro (Zolotarev et al., 2006). Small modifications alter its chemistry. N-terminal acetylation (Ac-Semax) changed the structure and redox behavior of the copper(II) complex and removed the protection against copper toxicity in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells that the authors tied to Semax's free N-terminus (Magrì et al., 2016). In APPswe/PS1dE9 transgenic mice, Semax and a derivative with two substitutions, Met-Glu-Asp-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, both improved maze and object recognition performance and reduced amyloid plaque counts (Radchenko et al., 2025). Neither Ac-Semax nor that derivative is Adamax.

Handling and storage of Adamax
General laboratory practice for this material:
- Vial: store the lyophilized powder at -20°C, protected from light, until use, and let the sealed vial reach room temperature before opening (storage guidance on the vial product page).
- After reconstitution, keep vial solutions at 2 to 8°C, protected from light, in single-use aliquots to avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
- Aerosol spray: unopened bottles can stay at 15 to 25°C as shipped; once opened, keep the bottle upright, closed, protected from light and at 2 to 8°C, and do not freeze it (storage guidance on the spray product page). The product page states that the spray needs no reconstitution or transfer.
- No public reference structure exists, so for structure-dependent or quantitative work consider confirming the mass independently.
- If the material is Semax-based, as supplier descriptions suggest, expect peptidase sensitivity in serum-containing media: Semax itself is cut into shorter fragments by nerve cells (Zolotarev et al., 2006).
- Record the lot number, keep its certificate with your notes, and use the certificate's measured content rather than the label amount.
Frequently asked questions
What is Adamax?
Adamax (DW 1032) is a peptide Disguised Alpha sells for laboratory research as a 10 mg lyophilized vial and a 1 mg/mL aerosol spray. The product pages call it a neuropeptide research compound but give no sequence or formula, and no peer-reviewed study or PubChem compound record exists for it.
How is Adamax related to Semax?
The public descriptions we found all present Adamax as a Semax derivative: a vendor-deposited PubChem substance record lists Ac-Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro-Ala-Gly-OH, and other supplier listings describe an acetylated Semax carrying an adamantane group. Both contain the Semax sequence. Our product pages state no structure, and no study has compared Adamax with Semax. For Semax itself, see our Semax research guide.
What does the published literature say about Adamax?
Nothing yet. PubMed holds no study of Adamax or DW 1032; the name returns only papers about the AdaMax machine-learning method. Every finding on this page comes from Semax or from Semax variants that are not Adamax.
What does DW 1032 mean?
The product pages use it as part of the product name without defining it, and we found no registry or literature entry for the code.
How should Adamax be stored?
Keep the lyophilized vial at -20°C, protected from light, then at 2 to 8°C after reconstitution, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles. Keep the unopened spray at 15 to 25°C, and once opened, upright, closed, protected from light and at 2 to 8°C, never frozen, as listed on the product pages.
Where can researchers buy Adamax?
Disguised Alpha sells Adamax for laboratory research, third-party tested with each lot's certificate published on the product page: Adamax (DW 1032), the 10 mg vial, and Adamax Aerosol Spray (DW 1032), 1 mg/mL in a 10 mL bottle.
