What our research guides are
Disguised Alpha's research guides summarize what published studies report about the compounds we supply. They are reference material for laboratory researchers: not product claims, and not guidance for use in people. Disguised Alpha sells research compounds for laboratory research use only.
Where the facts come from
- Studies: peer-reviewed records indexed in PubMed. Every study a guide cites links to its PubMed entry.
- Identity data such as sequence, formula and molecular weight: PubChem records or the product page, and the guide says which.
- Regulatory and anti-doping status: the regulator's own page, such as the FDA, the European Medicines Agency or the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List, worded the way the source words it.
- Product facts such as format, size and storage: the live product page and the lot's certificate of analysis.
How each guide is checked
- Before a guide is published, every PubMed citation is looked up through the National Library of Medicine's E-utilities service, and its first author and year are matched against the guide.
- An independent fact-check pass, separate from the writing, compares the guide with the studies it cites, using the abstract or the open full text. Every number, every description of a human study and every regulatory statement is checked against its source.
- Findings are reported in the study's own terms, with the model named: the cell line, the animal species or the design of a human study. Animal and cell results are labeled as animal and cell results.
- Human studies appear only as research history: the design, the population, what was measured and what the authors reported. They are never written as a recommendation.
What our guides leave out
No instructions for use in people, whether amounts, routes or schedules, no stacking or cycling advice, and we make no claims of our own about effects in people. Where a compound is prohibited in sport, has been withdrawn from development or has a retracted study in its record, the guide says so.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We add newer studies over time and correct errors when we find them; an updated or corrected guide carries the new date. To report an error, email support@disguisedalpha.com.
Testing is separate from the guides
Product testing does not come from the guides. Each lot's third-party certificate of analysis is published in the COA portal and on its product page, and our guide to certificates of analysis explains how to read one.
