Lyophilized research material

KLOW (GHK-CU / BPC-157 / TB-500 / KPV): product details and research reference

KLOW is a research blend of four peptides in one vial. The label states 80 mg in total: 50 mg of GHK-Cu plus 10 mg each of BPC-157, TB-500 and KPV. The 80 mg figure is the total for the whole blend. It is not the amount of each peptide.

The vial holds a powder that is lyophilized (freeze-dried) in the USA. It is sold for lab research only.

What is in the KLOW blend?

GHK-Cu50 mg per vial
BPC-15710 mg per vial
TB-50010 mg per vial
KPV10 mg per vial
Total80 mg per vial

Identity and structure

KLOW is a named blend, not one chemical. It has no single molecular weight. Its identity rests on its four parts and on the certificate for each lot. Each part is a separate peptide:

  • GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide Gly-His-Lys.
  • BPC-157 is a synthetic peptide made of 15 amino acids.
  • TB-500 is a name used for a short acetylated fragment of thymosin beta-4 (Ac-LKKTETQ). The name is also used for the full 43-residue protein.
  • KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val. It is the last three amino acids (the C-terminal end) of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH).

Identify each part on its own, including the material form the supplier states. Identity data for one part does not describe the whole mix.

What published studies have looked at

No published study has tested these four peptides together, in any model. So there are no data on how they interact, on how stable the mix is in solution, or on any combined effect. The closest test paired two of them. In a rat Achilles repair model, combining BPC-157 with TB-500 showed no added effect over either peptide alone at four weeks (Biçer et al., 2026).

Each peptide has its own published work, mostly in cell cultures and rodents:

GHK-Cuin fibroblast cultures, the copper complex stimulated collagen synthesis (Maquart et al., 1988).
BPC-157in rat tendon explants and cultured tendon fibroblasts, one group reported more outgrowth, higher fibroblast survival under oxidative stress, more migration, and activation of the FAK-paxillin pathway (Chang et al., 2011).
BPC-157 evidence basea 2025 systematic review of the musculoskeletal literature counted 35 preclinical studies and one clinical study. It noted that BPC-157 has no FDA approval (Vasireddi et al., 2025).
TB-500chemical analysis of material sold as TB-500 identified the acetylated 17 to 23 fragment of thymosin beta-4 (Esposito et al., 2012). Most biological data concern the full protein. Those data may not carry over to the fragment.
KPVin cytokine-stimulated human intestinal epithelial and T cell lines, KPV lowered NF-kappaB and MAP kinase signaling. The cells took it up through the PepT1 transporter (Dalmasso et al., 2008).

How to read this evidence

A study of one peptide is not evidence that the four-peptide mix acts the same way. Single-peptide papers do not show how the finished KLOW blend behaves, how stable it is, or how its parts interact. Handle KLOW as a defined mixture in your study design, with a control for each component.

KLOW vs GLOW

The GLOW listing contains GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500. KLOW adds a fourth peptide, KPV. Our GLOW vs KLOW comparison sets the two side by side.

KLOW capsule and transdermal listings are different formulations. Do not apply this vial's makeup or documents to those products.

Storage and handling

KLOW ships as a lyophilized powder. This page lists these storage steps:

  • Store the sealed vial at -20°C and out of the light until you reconstitute it. This is the most stable form.
  • After reconstitution, keep the solution at 2 to 8°C and out of the light.
  • Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Our research guide adds general lab practice. Let the sealed vial reach room temperature before you open it, so moisture does not form on the powder. Add a sterile solvent or buffer that suits your assay. Run it gently down the vial wall, then swirl rather than vortex. GHK-Cu swaps copper readily (Hureau et al., 2011) and broke down under basic and oxidative stress (Badenhorst et al., 2016). So keep chelators, alkaline buffers and oxidizers out of the diluent. Split stock into single-use portions so you do not freeze and thaw it.

See also our guides to peptide reconstitution and peptide storage, and follow your lab's own validated methods.

How to match your vial to its certificate

Every order ships with certificate access for its lot. Each published lot is listed under the lab that tested it, ILS Laboratories or Chromate. To match yours:

  • Note the lot assigned to your order.
  • Find that lot in the COA portal.
  • Check that the report names KLOW and lists the analytes, methods and values you need.
  • Record the label amounts and the measured content as separate figures.

A test of one component, or of another lot, does not cover every component or every lot. Write the lot number in your notes and keep its certificate with them.

Intended use

For lab research only. Not for human consumption, veterinary use, or therapeutic or diagnostic use. Ingredient research and lab test reports do not make it fit for those uses. For documents about this product, contact Disguised Alpha. Every study above is cited in the KLOW research guide.

Selected research and evidence

Primary research relevant to the named compound or clearly identified component is linked below. Experimental results depend on identity, model and formulation.

  1. BPC-157 and tendon fibroblast migrationTendon explants and cultured cells · 2011 · PMID 21030672

Examined cell migration and FAK/paxillin signaling. The reported migration response should not be described as direct stimulation of cell proliferation.

  2. GHK-Cu and collagen synthesis in fibroblastsCell culture · 1988 · PMID 3169264

Studied a copper-peptide complex in fibroblast cultures. Cell-culture findings do not establish skin penetration or performance of a finished formulation.

  3. KPV transport through PepT1 and inflammatory signalingCell cultures and mouse colitis models · 2008 · PMID 18061177

Examined peptide uptake and inflammatory signaling. The paper concerns KPV in its study systems, not this commercial preparation.

  4. Thymosin beta-4 and its actin-binding regionPeptide comparison · 2003 · PMID 14500546

Compared full-length thymosin beta-4 with a shorter region. Full-length thymosin beta-4 and a short TB-500 fragment are not interchangeable identities; check the lot-specific sequence.

Documentation and research handling

Retain the product label and lot number with the research record. Review the matching certificate of analysis for test coverage and reported results. Identity, analytical purity, measured content, sterility and endotoxin testing are distinct assessments; one does not establish the others.

Follow the supplied label and your laboratory’s validated handling and storage procedures. Record the vehicle, concentration and preparation date where relevant. Dry-material stability does not establish the shelf life of a prepared solution.

Product questions

What does the vial quantity describe?

The listed milligrams refer to material per vial, not concentration or administration instructions. A prepared solution has its own concentration and stability requirements. Verify the exact selected option and shipping lot.

Where is the batch-specific evidence?

Open the linked certificate for the assigned lot or use the COA portal. Check sample identity, methods, date and reported measurements. A report for another lot or formulation is not a substitute.

Do these studies test this finished product?

The references describe the materials and conditions used by their authors. They do not establish that this commercial formulation was tested. For blends, evidence on an individual component does not validate the finished mixture or establish synergy.
