Lyophilized research material
SNAP-8 is a synthetic peptide, also called acetyl octapeptide-3. We supply it as a 10MG lyophilized powder in a research vial. It is sold for lab research only.
| Compound | SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) |
|---|---|
| Strength | 10MG per vial |
| Format | lyophilized peptide research vial |
| Formula | C41H70N16O16S, 1075.2 g/mol |
SNAP-8 is a chain of eight amino acids: Ac-Glu-Glu-Met-Gln-Arg-Arg-Ala-Asp-NH2. Both ends are capped. The N-terminus carries an acetyl group, and the C-terminus is an amide.
The sequence matches residues 12 to 19 of human SNAP-25. SNAP-25 is a protein of the SNARE complex, which drives the release of neurotransmitter from vesicles. SNAP-8 is two residues longer than acetyl hexapeptide-3, a related peptide.
Most lab data on how this peptide family works come from that shorter peptide. PubMed lists no peer-reviewed cell, tissue or animal study of SNAP-8 on its own. Our SNAP-8 research guide sums up what has been published.
Our team runs an internal QA review before release. It covers the 10MG label, the vial, the storage notes and the product records. The current lot's certificate is shown on this page. Every published certificate is listed by lot in our COA portal.

Retain the product label and lot number with the research record. Review the matching certificate of analysis for test coverage and reported results. Identity, analytical purity, measured content, sterility and endotoxin testing are distinct assessments; one does not establish the others.
Follow the supplied label and your laboratory’s validated handling and storage procedures. Record the vehicle, concentration and preparation date where relevant. Dry-material stability does not establish the shelf life of a prepared solution.
The listed milligrams refer to material per vial, not concentration or administration instructions. A prepared solution has its own concentration and stability requirements. Verify the exact selected option and shipping lot.
Open the linked certificate for the assigned lot or use the COA portal. Check sample identity, methods, date and reported measurements. A report for another lot or formulation is not a substitute.
