Encapsulated research material
Tesofensine is a research compound sold here in capsules. Each capsule holds 500MCG. It is supplied for laboratory research only.
Labs use it in models of monoamine transporter activity and dopamine signaling. Studies also cover norepinephrine pathways and serotonin-related biology. Other models examine appetite-related signaling and metabolic pathways.

No. Many people search for "tesofensine peptide," but it is not a peptide. It is a small molecule built on a tropane ring. It has no amino acids and no peptide bonds.
Tesofensine is a synthetic 3-phenyltropane. Its development code is NS2330, also written NS 2330 or NS-2330. It is a triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor. In lab work, it blocks the reuptake of dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin.
A 2025 cryo-EM study mapped where it binds (Li et al., 2025). It sat in the central pocket of all three human transporters. It held each one in an outward-facing shape.
NeuroSearch and Boehringer Ingelheim first developed it for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. Phase II trials did not show a consistent effect (Hauser et al., 2007), and that work stopped. It has not received full marketing authorization as a medicine.
It is studied for its link to monoamine transporter activity. These transporters matter in models of reward circuits and central nervous system control. They also appear in appetite-related signaling and energy-balance models.
Rodent studies have also looked at feeding circuits in the brain. One study in rats and transgenic mice examined GABAergic neurons in the lateral hypothalamus (Perez et al., 2024).
Record the lot number in your notes. The certificate reports measured content per capsule, which can differ from the 500MCG label. Use the measured value for quantitative work. This page does not state a salt form, so compare identity data with the free base figures above.
Store the capsules at room temperature, 15 to 25°C, in the original sealed container. Keep them away from moisture and direct light. They ship in a sealed plastic bottle, a sealed glass bottle or a resealable pouch, depending on the batch.

Retain the product label and lot number with the research record. Review the matching certificate of analysis for test coverage and reported results. Identity, analytical purity, measured content, sterility and endotoxin testing are distinct assessments; one does not establish the others.
Follow the supplied label and your laboratory’s validated handling and storage procedures. Record the vehicle, concentration and preparation date where relevant. Dry-material stability does not establish the shelf life of a prepared solution.
It is the stated quantity per unit, separate from the number of units in the bottle. A purity percentage is not a measurement of milligrams per capsule or tablet. Use the matching lot report for the measurements actually performed.
Open the linked certificate for the assigned lot or use the COA portal. Check sample identity, methods, date and reported measurements. A report for another lot or formulation is not a substitute.
The current certificate is matched to the selected product option and assigned shipping batch.
