CBL-514 20mg

CBL-514 20 mg is supplied as a powder in a vial for laboratory research. CBL-514 is the name of an investigational small molecule studied in adipose-tissue research. The labeled amount is 20 mg per vial, not a concentration or a batch-assay result.

What is CBL-514?

Caliway describes its investigational CBL-514 as a small-molecule drug candidate, rather than a peptide. Its development program examines localized subcutaneous fat reduction and other adipose-tissue conditions. Research on the developer’s clinical formulation does not establish the identity, formulation, purity, safety or efficacy of this separately supplied research material. Disguised Alpha is not claiming affiliation with Caliway. Developer’s CBL-514 research program.

CBL-514 mechanism: adipocyte apoptosis

Adipocytes are fat-storing cells; apoptosis is programmed cell death. Caliway’s preclinical research describes changes in caspase-3 and the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio associated with adipocyte apoptosis. These findings explain the research interest in CBL-514, but do not demonstrate that an unverified commercial vial has the same composition or biological activity as the investigational formulation. Caliway’s mechanism and study background.

Published CBL-514 studies

The evidence includes early clinical studies of the developer’s investigational formulation. Study design, population, measurement method and follow-up matter when comparing findings:

  • 2022 Phase IIa study: Goodman and colleagues examined abdominal subcutaneous fat using ultrasound in an open-label study with random allocation. Its design and limited follow-up should be considered when interpreting the findings. PubMed PMID 35709509; DOI 10.1093/asj/sjac162.
  • 2025 placebo-controlled Phase II study: Gold and colleagues randomized 76 participants and evaluated abdominal subcutaneous fat with ultrasound. The reported results concern the study formulation and population. Injection-site reactions were the most common treatment-emergent adverse events. PubMed PMID 40037659; DOI 10.1093/asj/sjaf032.
  • 2026 Phase IIb study: Lorenc and colleagues randomized 108 adults and assessed clinician-reported and participant-reported abdominal fat ratings alongside MRI measurements. These endpoints differ from the ultrasound endpoints used in earlier studies. PubMed PMID 42159040; DOI 10.1093/asj/sjag092.

Subcutaneous versus visceral fat research

Subcutaneous fat lies beneath the skin, while visceral fat surrounds internal organs. A 2026 EASD report described an exploratory MRI subgroup analysis drawn from CBL-514 Phase II trials. It should be read as preliminary subgroup evidence, separately from the trials’ primary subcutaneous-fat endpoints. It is not proof of a predictable fat-loss result from this research product. Caliway’s October 2, 2026 EASD report and study limitations.

CBL-514 product specifications

Certificate of analysis and batch verification

Match the batch identifier on the supplied vial to its certificate of analysis (COA). Check the report’s sample identity, laboratory, analytical method, report date and measured results. Labeled mass, measured content and chromatographic purity are different specifications. A product photograph, QR code or published study does not replace a matching batch report.

At this review on October 30, 2026, a batch-specific COA was not linked to this listing. Review the Disguised Alpha COA portal and contact support for the matching CBL-514 report before relying on any identity, purity or content specification.

Does 20 mg mean 20 mg/mL?

No. The 20 mg label states an amount per vial. A concentration in mg/mL also requires a defined solution volume; it cannot be inferred from the vial size or product name. No preparation or administration protocol is provided here.

Is this the same as the CBL-514 used in clinical trials?

Equivalence has not been established. Published results apply to the investigational material used in each study. A matching name does not prove that a separately supplied powder has the same formulation, manufacturing controls or clinical performance.

Is CBL-514 offered for human use?

No. This listing is for laboratory research only, not for human consumption, self-administration, veterinary, diagnostic or therapeutic use. Clinical development information is research context and is not a claim that this product is an approved medicine.
