Counts reflect the report records displayed here. Historical reports may relate to earlier inventory. Product cards may include multiple strengths; match the details on the original certificate before using it as a batch reference.

Reading the evidence

What a certificate can tell you.

A certificate of analysis records the laboratory's findings for the sample described in that report. Start with the sample details, then read the results alongside their methods and specifications.

1. Match the sample

Check the compound, labeled amount, sample or lot identifier, and laboratory report number. A matching product name alone does not establish a batch match.

2. Read the measurements

Keep purity, measured content, and other tests separate. Look at the units, detection limits, and any notes or qualifications.

3. Confirm the source

Check the test and issue dates. Where the certificate supplies a QR code, verification link, or access code, use the laboratory's own verification process.

Report fieldWhat to look for
IdentityThe laboratory's identification result and method, such as LC-MS. Read it in the context of the submitted sample.
PurityA method-specific percentage, often measured by HPLC. It is separate from the quantity of material in a vial.
Measured contentThe reported amount and units, compared with the labeled amount. Read all sample results when more than one measurement is listed.
Microbial testingThe exact method and scope. A microbial DNA screen and a growth-based sterility test are different tests.
EndotoxinsThe result, units, detection limit, and specification. An endotoxin result does not establish sterility.
Other screensHeavy metals, other contaminants, or appearance only when listed. Do not assume an unlisted test was performed.

Testing coverage varies by report. “Pass” or “Conforms” refers to the laboratory's stated criteria for the listed test; it is not a guarantee of suitability for human or veterinary use.

Common questions

Understanding peptide COAs.

What is a certificate of analysis (COA)?

A COA is a laboratory report describing a tested sample, the methods used, and the reported results. Depending on the report, it may include identity, purity, measured content, or additional quality tests. Read the original certificate to see exactly what was tested.

How do I find the right COA for my product?

Search the product name or the batch number on your label. Check the labeled strength and compare the identifiers with the original laboratory report. If you cannot establish an exact match, contact support with your order and batch details.

Is a laboratory report number the same as a batch number?

Not necessarily. A report number identifies a laboratory document; a batch or lot number identifies a production lot. Entries labeled Report should not be treated as a batch match unless the original report or supporting documentation establishes that connection.

Which laboratories appear in this library?

Published records include reports from Chromate, Freedom Diagnostics, Gold Standard Analytics, ILS Laboratories. The laboratory name is shown with each report. Refer to the original document for the issuing laboratory and the scope of its testing.

Does purity tell me how many milligrams are in a vial?

No. Purity and measured content are separate results. Purity is reported as a percentage under the stated method, while measured content is an amount with units such as milligrams. Check both fields and any individual sample results on the certificate.

Does an endotoxin or microbial screen prove sterility?

No. Endotoxin testing, microbial DNA screening, and growth-based sterility testing address different questions. Use the exact test name, method, and result shown on the report; do not infer an unlisted test.

Can I verify a COA with the issuing laboratory?

Use the verification link, QR code, or access code printed on the certificate where provided. Check that the laboratory's record matches the report number and sample details. If no verification method is supplied, contact the issuing laboratory or ask support for help.

What if my batch is missing or the report is older?

Historical reports may relate to earlier inventory and should not be substituted for an unmatched batch. Contact support with the product name, labeled strength, batch number, and order number so the correct documentation can be located.

Can't find the exact match?

Send support your product name, labeled strength, batch number, and order number.
